Sorry for the corny title, I think it's from a joke my mom likes. We had dinner tonight at another local restaurant. It was Italian with a bit of Iceland mixed in there somewhere. It was my family's first attempt at snails, which was old news to Roxann being from the east coast. We ordered a plate as an apetizer just for kicks, and I have to admit they were very good! They had been saute'd in some type of garlic butter sauce and tasted alot like pasta, very chewy pasta. The girls even tried some and had to admit they tasted much better than they looked. The snails were followed by two pizzas; one cheese, and the other a seafood pizza covered in shrimp, scallops and muscles. Thanks to their menu we were able to decipher something we had seen on the kid's menu the night before, pizza margarita. We were too scared to ask and just ordered other items for the girls, but tonight's menu spelled it differently and actually explained what it was. They spelled it pizza margharita which apparently is just another way to say cheese pizza.
After dinner we wandered around downtown a bit checking out a local bookstore and picking up a few souvineers. Downtown was beautiful, imagine the charming but packed villages you see in a chase scene from any James Bond or Bourne movie and that's where we were. The mixture of old and new was a perfect match, and something you just don't see in the US.
